Welcome to Dolgerddon Hall...

Rhayader YMCA Conference Centre

The YMCA is used as a meeting place for various groups from youth club to bridge club, including playgroup, art classes, guides, rainbows, mind and dance classes. We also have facilities to hold children’s birthday parties, presentations and larger training events.

The beautiful grounds are ideal for outdoor activities such as fete’s and garden parties and with free parking available this makes it the perfect venue in the market town of Rhayader in Mid Wales.

Rhayader YMCA is a registered charity. We are constantly looking to develop our work and build on projects already in place in order that we serve the community in the most appropriate way.

The association is affiliated to the National Council of YMCA’s of Wales. We are an autonomous organisation that is run by a locally elected Board of Management. The YMCA’s day to day activities are run by a Centre Manager.

Dolgerddon Hall

Built in the late 1800’s, the building was home to T.R. Wood, Deputy County Coroner. During World War II it housed a school for deaf and mute boys.

Dolgerddon Hall is now owned by Powys County Council and leased to Rhayader YMCA, who have completely refurbished the property as a Youth and community centre, which has office space and conference facilities available.
